Dear Blog,
I like you. But sometimes interns are too busy to blog. Specifically on the week before they go on vacation. But you are in my thoughts.

Simple Math
I have had a website for 4 months now.
In those 4 months I have had, 230 unique visitors
With 3621 hits
& 0 artwork commissions/purchases.
Meanwhile I have 283 friends on facebook.
= I can’t even get all of my own internet friends to visit my website.
This is an excerpt of an email conversation with my boss:
Her: Next trip-Paris….!
Me: PARIS!
!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheese and fashion.. what more could a girl want? *swoon*
Her: You are forgetting “wine, cheese and fashion”!!!
Love.

Me: I have pizza for lunch, but no microwave and I’m thinking of putting it on top of the mac mini
Lawrence: eat it cold
Me: because it generates so much heat
good idea?
or best idea ever?
Lawrence: mediocre at best
Ive never introduced myself to a blog before, but then again I’ve also never been able to consistently maintain a blog before, so here goes nothing…
HELLO BLOG!
My name is Barbara in the professional intern world, but those who I love and love me know me as Barbie. I got the idea for this blog from a co-worker (can you call your boss a co-worker?)
Basically every intern that has ever worked for our gallery has a blog, and they blog about work.
Feeling left out I decided to embrace the idea & here is a blog.
This is a blog about :
Graduating from art school
Being an artist
Looking for a “real” job
Living in NYC
Cover letters
Watching all my friends who have jobs make it rain $$$
Having an amazing dream internship that I wish were my job
Errands
Working every odd job to pay bills
Eating a lot of pasta
My cats ruining everything
Growing up.
If you know me IRL, you know where I work.
Because I don’t want the internet to ruin my life, if you don’t know me then all you need to know is that I divide my time between a museum, a gallery and the pleasures of retail.
Hello!
